AyloCare find (find.aylocare.com) is a mental health therapist discovery directory operated as part of the AyloCare ecosystem. This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the AyloCare find directory and the data collected from people who visit and use it. In this Privacy Policy, capitalized terms such as 'Seeker' and 'Practitioner' have the same meaning as defined in our Terms of Use.
This policy does not govern the AyloCare practice management platform. If you are a practitioner using AyloCare's clinical tools, please refer to the AyloCare Privacy Policy.
2. What Data We Collect
When you use AyloCare find, we may collect the following categories of personal data:
- Usage data: pages visited, search filters applied (specialty, location, session type), time on page, and referring source.
- Device & technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and screen resolution.
- Cookie data: session identifiers and analytics preferences (see Section 6).
- Contact request data: if you submit an intro appointment request, we collect the information you provide in that form (name, email, preferred contact method) solely to facilitate the connection with the Practitioner.
We do not collect sensitive health or clinical data from directory visitors. We do not have access to the content of any session or communication between a Seeker and a Practitioner.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Operate and improve the directory (search, filtering, profile display).
- Facilitate intro appointment requests between Seekers and Practitioners.
- Understand how the directory is used through anonymised analytics.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the platform.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under GDPR:
5. Data Sharing
We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
- With Practitioners: when you submit an intro appointment request, your contact details are shared with the relevant Practitioner to enable them to respond to you.
- With service providers: trusted third-party services that help us operate the directory. For example, our analytics provider is Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA). These providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
- With authorities: where required by applicable law or a lawful order.
We do not share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Cookies
AyloCare find uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform and understand how it is used.
Essential
Essential cookies are required for the directory to function (e.g., NEXT_LOCALE for language preference, cc_cookie for consent choices). They cannot be disabled.
Analytics
Analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics _ga cookies) help us understand aggregate usage patterns — for example, which specialties or cities are most searched. These are set only with your consent and typically expire after 1 to 2 years.
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings banner. You may also configure your browser to block or delete cookies; however, this may affect the functionality of the directory.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law.
Intro appointment request data is retained for up to 12 months from the date of submission, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.
8. Your Rights
As a data subject under GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — to request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Right to restriction — to request that we limit how we process your data.
- Right to portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object — to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@aylocare.com. We will respond within one month. This period may be extended by up to two further months for complex requests, in which case we will inform you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA) at www.dpa.gr.
